As Sir Ken Robinson contended in The No.1 TED talk that was shared by Nick Corston, CEO, STEAM Co. at the MATNetwork in Shropshire, creativity is now as important as literacy. He added that it is important to see creativity in terms of teaching. Creativity through creative subjects like art, design, music, dance, drama and DT. Teaching Creatively through pedagogies like flipped learning, project based learning and self managed learning - all principles used every day in industry.
The number one thing any school can do in Nick's view is sign up for Arts Mark accreditation to foster a culture of creativity in their school and across all subjects.
